Conceived as a lifestyle interior, this office fitout gives equal weight to business and hospitality. Our client wanted a setting that could accommodate a full working day, easily switching to evening hosting when needed. Floating, intersecting forms in timber and stone compose a sculptural work setting. Beside it, a bar in matte stainless steel and Calacatta Viola marble presents a collection of Japanese whisky with gallery-like reverence, a fluted banquette lounge runs alongside as a spot to settle into.

The meeting area, once shut behind a bi-fold door, now opens to the room so client engagement is uninterrupted. Black joinery recedes into shadow and takes the integrated screen with it, leaving fine art and decor as the centre point. The notion of wellness is introduced with the bathroom, featuring polished micro-cement in the Japanese-inspired wet-room – a sanctuary for bathing, dressing and meditating. This workplace offers a sense of refinement for top-level corporate clientele, while being practical to spend a whole day in.
