CHAMBERS RESIDENCE

Chambers Residence reimagines a 20-year-old South Yarra penthouse. The home was once divided into three separate apartments. Our studio embraced this complex layout as an opportunity for creativity and precision. The design celebrates new beginnings while refining existing elements. Together, these choices create a cohesive architectural language and a unified vision for living.

From the start, an extensive and much-loved art collection shaped the design. The team introduced gallery-like zones and curated pockets of space to frame individual artworks. Long, minimal corridors display large-scale sculptures. These new spatial arrangements also create a strong north–south connection. As a result, circulation improves, and moving through the home becomes an immersive art experience.

Materiality defines the interior atmosphere. Deep green marble, brushed stainless steel wall panels, warm russet tones and expressive timbers form rich, textured backdrops for the collection. In the kitchen, stainless steel surfaces reflect soft light. They contrast with timber floors laid in a refined herringbone pattern. Throughout the home, a curated selection of vintage furniture complements the layered palette and sculptural forms.

Chambers Residence demonstrates thoughtful reinvention. The home blends art, architecture and atmosphere. It supports daily life while showcasing the residents’ lifestyle, passions, and practical needs. Every element balances longevity with visual delight.
