Set in leafy Toorak, Cecconi’s serves as a sister restaurant to the original venue on Melbourne’s Flinders Lane, a family-owned Italian institution that has operated for nearly 20 years. The design draws on this rich heritage while introducing a layered interior filled with sculpted forms, traditional detailing and expressive materials. Together, these elements create a sophisticated dining experience inspired by the masters of Italian design.

From the moment guests arrive, a vibrant entrance lobby recalls the charm of traditional Milanese galleries and arcades. Honed travertine wraps the floors and walls, while a Gio Ponti–inspired staircase rises through the space. Its graphic, stepped silhouette features striking red marble and forms a bold visual centrepiece. Nearby, an arched doorway softened with hand-trowelled Venetian render leads to the first-floor restaurant, gently inviting guests to ascend and discover the dining room beyond.
